Pantanal, Brazil is a real paradise for exotic wildlife lovers. There are not so many regions with such wildlife abundance in the world. Moreover, taking in account the fact that most such places are located in Africa, i.e. in countries with significantly lower travel culture compared to Brazil, we would come to a simple conclusion: If you love wildlife and have not been to Pantanal yet, you should go there as soon as possible
There is actually much to be seen in Pantanal - you can also find some pictures in our gallery. You will see lots of animals here even if you go there with an average agency or on your own. However, setting out on such a long journey it would be a shame to put up with an average. Those of you who are experienced wildlife observers will certainly agree that a good guide is crucial for a success of such an expedition - which is especially true when observing certain species of rare and extremely shy animals.
An experienced guide will know exactly where certain animals come to drink, what time of day is the best for observing them, etc. The chance to meet and photograph some of the most attractive animals without a guide is often very small. This is also true for jaguar. You should choose the best guide for a good jaguar tour - otherwise you are setting up yourself for a failure. We are honored to cooperate with one of the best guides (if not the best) - Mr. Ailton Lara (see http://www.pantanalnature.com.br/ - European Agent for wildlife photography at the bottom of the page). Mr. Lara has been chosen as one of title characters of Brazil Lonely Planet guidebook and he participated in making number of wildlife documentary movies, including the BBC production.
If you choose to go with us to Pantanal, you will see (and picture) a large number of animals, including jaguars. He has always been very successful at jaguar tracking; nevertheless the results of expeditions guided by him have been even better since the recent introduction of a new method, which consists in the fact that at least two to three boats communicating via radio set out on tour. When a crew of a boat spots a jaguar, it shall immediately communicate this to other boats. As Ailton says: "We can not guarantee you'll see a jaguar ... but what we can guarantee is the high quality tour and 99% chance that eventually you'll see a jaguar." Ailton Lara and his men can boast a very high number of "spotted" Jaguars - 12 in a week in the average). Participants in these professional tours are provided with the maximum comfort, which can be offered in the middle of the wilderness - they sleep in special heated tents with a shower and all the facilities.
Due to our cooperation with the Pantanal Nature agency we can organize this fascinating tour into the Brazilian wilderness for you for the same prices as those charged by Ailton Lara directly in Brazil. As an extra bonus, we will arrange everything for you (including any individual wishes), we will find you the most suitable flight to Brazil, etc. If you are interested we can also arrange additional program in Brazil (eg Amazon).
